Meeting Minutes

April 30, 2025

6 p.m. HS Library

Current Board Members: Kristi Adams(absent), Carrie Buum, Jeff Buum, John Christensen(absent), Kim Erickson, Tim “Butch” Farley, Megan Joseph, Scott Klungseth, Jill Mockler(absent), Adam Nelson(absent), Brendyn Richards, Kayla Schurch, Michael Schurch and Ashley Sharpe.

Guests: Troy Boone, Owen Reinalda, Dawn Seeley, Ben Short

6-6:05-Secretary Report: Megan Joseph. Ashley made a motion to approve, seconded by Michael. No further discussion. Motion carried.

6:05-6:25-Treasurer Report: John Christensen. Ashley made a motion to approve, seconded by Scott. No further discussion. Motion carried.

  • John offered to stay on board as treasurer until we are able to find someone to fill his spot.

  • Made arrangements with Teresa to get taxes done.

Bills Paid:

  • Megan for $145.67 for banquet decorations

  • Shopify $16.98

6:15-6:35 Remaining Coach’s Requests


  • Owen presenting Coach’s Requests on behalf of coaches unable to attend

    • Golf- asking for $300 for 20 golf rule cards to attach to bags

      • Michael made a motion to approve the $300 for the Golf team request, Ashley seconded. No further discussion. Motion carried.

    • Girls Basketball-summer camps $1345.00

      • Also asking for new travel pants (haven’t had new ones in 8 years), will get back to us with approximate amount for these.

        • Butch made a motion to approve $1345 for summer camps, Kim seconded. No further discussion. Motion carried.

          • The Board will revisit with Owen regarding splitting the cost of the travel sets with the school.

    • Ben Short-Boys Basketball 

      • Varsity Summer Camps (3) $938.00 needed asap (business office has already cut checks for these)

      • Travel Gear/Jackets & Bottoms $4,000.00 with funds needed by 5/31/25 to receive current sale prices (needing more tall sizes, and old ones are wearing out). This would be for approximately 20 athletes.

        • Kayla made a motion to approve the $938.00 for summer camps, seconded by Butch. No further discussion. Motion carried.

          • The Board will revisit with Owen regarding splitting the cost of the travel sets with the school.

  • $259/kid for summer Rozy program (approximately 40 workouts). Asking us to pay a portion so the kids only have to pay $200. 63 kids signed up last summer.

    • We will pay $70/athlete, making the student total $189 to pay for the summer Rozy program. Scott made a motion to approve, seconded by Carrie. No further discussion. Motion approved.

      • **Michael will meet with Owen to clarify the numbers

  • Owen offered to make a google doc for coaches to be able to submit requests quicker and easier in the future.

6:35-7:05 New Business

  • Check presented by Troy Boone from Frosbite 4 in the amount of $10,000

    • Frostbite 4 will now have a committee to organize the event

  • Athletic Banquet Sunday May 4th-Spring activity sub committee

    • Discuss event flow and meal-

      • Order of program-Announce Seniors, Top Dawg, Athletic Hall of Fame, Volunteer of the year, Scholarship winners, blankets.

      • Ordered enough food for 200 people (166 signed up so far)

    • Set up/decorations/tables/chairs-Show up at 4p.m. for set up

7:05-7:30 Miscellaneous 


  • 2025-2026 Booster Club Board

    • 5 New board members are needed for next year. 

    • Set appropriate expectations-agreements
