Board Meeting Minutes
March 11, 2026

Current Board Members: Kristi Adams, Natalie Board, Carrie Buum, Jeff Buum, Megan Buum, Kim Erickson, Tim “Butch” Farley, John Ganschow, Nick Halvorson (absent), Amanda Hyronimus, Andrew Jorgensen, Megan Joseph, Kayla Schurch, Michael Schurch, Stephen Sims(absent).
Guests: Owen Reinalda, Brad Muller, Lori Dressen
Secretary Report: Megan Joseph. Jeff made a motion approve, seconded by Andrew . No further discussion. Motion carried.
Treasurer Report: Kayla Schurch. Megan made a motion to approve, seconded by Butch. No further discussion. Motion carried.

Old Business
· Voting done via Band App
o February 18, 2026 a motion was made by Michael via the Band app to approve a additional $1890 for track warm ups, due to having to change brands because of inventory and getting them in time for the season. Motion was approved, no further discussion. Motion carried.
o February 21, 2026 a motion was made by Michael via the band app to approve State qualifier t-shirts for the 10 wrestlers, 4 managers and 7 coaches. Amount totaling $383.25. Motion was approved. No further discussion. Motion carried.
· Frostbite 4- Total of 310 registered runners this year
o Troy and Dawn were pleased with how everything went.
o What do we need to improve from our board.
§ Scale back approximately 10% on soup, based on 300 runners
§ Add 2 more roasters next year to be able to switch out quick
§ Don’t necessarily need the boys to help during the meal, needed at the end to help clean up instead.
New Business
· Coaches requests:
o Softball & Track and Field-possibly move their coaches requests to the fall, so they can be ready in time for their season and eliminate any confusion on approved requests from previous school year.
o Girls basketball (Owen) $3000 for camps and items which will be determined at a later date, depending on when a coach is hired. $450 would for sure be used for Summer Jam at Pentagon.
o Boys Basketball (Owen) $3000 for camps and items which will be determined at a later date, depending on when a coach is hired. $450 would for sure be used for Summer Jam at the Pentagon.
§ Jeff made a motion to approve up to $3000 for camps/training (to be determined by coach when hired) for BOTH Boys and Girls basketball, seconded by Andrew. No further discussion. Motion carried.
o Volleyball (Lori Dressen)- Requesting for Sanford skills camp ($750/team), BOMBS skills camp ($100/girl-18 girls which would be considered 2 teams for the camp, totaling $1800), Madison skills camp ($90+tax/girl-10 girls=$950). Total amount requested is $3500. Funds would be needed by mid July (By this time she will know the number of girls attending each camp).
§ Jeff made a motion to approve up to $3500 for Volleyball requests (if leftover funds, they are to be used for meals at camps), seconded by John . No further discussion. Motion carried.
o Golf (Brad Muller)- Requesting Golf Balls ($30/dozen)(, Waterproof pants ($50/pair no logo),12 Rule cards ($10/set-they didn’t end up ordering them last year),8 Bags (Approximately $305/bag with logo-shared between boys and girls teams) Totaling approximately $3800 for this year (next years total would be significantly less due to potentially only needing more golf balls).
§ Jeff made a motion to approve up to $3800 for Golf requests, seconded by Natalie . No further discussion. Motion carried.
· Discuss Softball requests. Shuffle to fall. How did the previous approval process work?
· Senior Awards Night- May 11th
o Program pictures 16-20 per sport (more Senior focused). Members to get pictures to Carrie.

o Cookies, cupcakes, drinks-Michael will talk with Chelsey at Wake and Bake about mini cupcakes/cookies for this night and get a quote for approximately 400.
· BABC scholarship applications due April 2nd, 2026.
o This is Michaels first year and will need assistance in working through this process.
· Last chance track meet set for May 22nd, 2026. We won’t know for sure until the week before due to weather. Volunteers will be needed for concessions, tickets, and adults at some of the stations.
