Old Business
· Frostbite 4 Update (Troy Boone/Dawn Seeley):
o Registration numbers are the same as the past 2 years as of right now
o Friday before no bball game, so we can set up at 7:30 after practices or multi purpose room is open all day
o Need some adults to help with bags @ 3:30 Friday
o Michael will touch base with Jared about getting chili ordered, Kayla will order Chicken noodle
o Jeff has list of food needed for the meal and serving (roasters/liners, ladles)
o Dawn has the sign up genius and will send out
· Owen time
o Google doc for coaches request-does it look ok for us?
o Potentially submit spring sport requests by June?
o School Board meeting-Class B for wrestling because we are under on numbers
o Last chance track meet-morning of May 22nd, but if the Thursday meet gets pushed to Friday because of weather we will NOT have it.
§ Checks for this will be made directly to BABC
§ We will do concessions, tickets, members help running each event
· Tournament debrief:
o What went well
§ Potential to get pizzas from Tyler at Bertz next year (he will provide the ovens as well, we just need to be able to use the kitchen space)
§ Volunteer numbers were great this year
§ Parents appreciated the date-stick with the same time next year (Jan 2nd?)
o What needs to change
§ Get registration out earlier
§ Make schedule prior to releasing registration, and then able to cap the number of teams (done through Tourney Machine app)
§ Set 1-hour block for each game to avoid running behind schedule
§ Need to put on posts that we will not be accepting anything over a $20 bill
§ Possibly use square for ticket sales
§ Potentially $10 for adults, $5 seniors, kids free for next year
§ More rules in the rule book-fouls mainly
§ Make sure to add later concession time for elementary school for sign up genius
§ Add volunteer sign up spots for running clock
§ Need to find more referees-split the sign up times to morning and afternoon spots. Need to increase amount paid per game as well. 3 ref rotation-still pay the ref running the clock just pay less to give them a break but keep them there. Average refs right now are getting $40/game.
§ Start looking for referees early in the school year
§ Potentially hire out for cleaning after the tournament next year
· April charges $150 for call out-whether used or not (janitorial)
· Offer $500 to clean for the day/night?
· Frostbite 4 volunteers February 7th at 11 a.m.
o Winter subcommittee: Carrie, Kristi, Megan B
o 2 cases of chili (12 bags) last year order 3 cases this year (Michael talking to Jared about this). Have Kayla order 20% more chicken noodle soup, than she did last year.
· Boys Basketball “travel gear” update
o Michael, Kim, Owen and Coach Short trying to find time to meet to discuss this and come up with a solution.
New Business
· Tri-fold calendar replacement idea-playing card with seniors on for each sport with schedule on the back
· BABC scholarship Rubrik-usually sent out in February
