Meeting Minutes

February 5, 2025

6 p.m. HS Library

Current Board Members: Kristi Adams, Carrie Buum, Jeff Buum, John Christensen, Kim Erickson, Tim “Butch” Farley(absent), Megan Joseph, Krissy Kjose, Scott Klungseth, Jill Mockler, Adam Nelson(absent), Brendyn Richards(absent), Kayla Schurch, Michael Schurch and Ashley Sharpe(absent).

Guests: 

6-6:05-Secretary Report: Megan Joseph. Michael made a motion to approve, seconded by Jill . No further discussion. Motion carried.

6:05-6:25-Treasurer Report: John Christensen. Jill made a motion to approve, seconded by Scott . No further discussion, Motion carried.

  • Last bball tournament made $8,375.65 profit

Current Balance total: $81,910.50

  • Frostbite 4

  • Frostbite updates

    • Need more help with serving lunch

    • Need a 2 mile starter

    • Using Kims camera that day for pictures

    • Using the North route for the race

    • Stephanie Voss in charge of finding mascots

    • Dawn will use her phone and spotify for music at the lunch

  • Google sign up volunteers

  • Setup on Feb 7-running bags and gym 

    • Michael said wrestlers will be available to help set up that night

  • Day of event

    • Can use roasters from the Bridges-but will need liners for them

    • Need Crackers, lettuce, salad dressings, bowls, plastic silverware, small plates, napkins


  • Youth BB Tourney

    • Tourney discussion for February 22nd

      • Jeff made a spreadsheet for future years

      • 22 teams signed up so far

    • Google sign up sheet-Jeff already sent out to members, will reach out to Owen to send out to coaches and kids.

    • Facebook promotion


7:00-7:10

  • 2025-2026 Booster Club Board

    • Have more energy and fun as board members

    • Alternative fundraising (dart tourneys, golf tourneys, JV tourneys, 50/50 raffle, etc.)

      • Due to board members being unavailable during the times we have the bball tournaments

    • Candidates for new board members-potential new members at April or May meeting

    • Onboarding standards

7:10-7:30 Other Business

  • Coach’s requests-Jeff will reach out to Owen to get the form out to them

  • Rozy- Motion made by Megan to not add additional funding to the Summer Rozy, seconded by Michael. No further discussion. Motion approved.

    • Need to reach out to Owen about possible alternatives

  • Coach’s apparel request. Jill made a motion to give $50 stipend, per coach (designated by school), Grades 9-12, every 2 years. Starting next school year 2025-26.  Seconded by Michael. No further discussion. Motion carried.

  • Next Meeting-Last week of February or 2nd Wed in March?
