BERESFORD ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB MONTHLY MEETING

CURRENT BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:
MICHAEL SCHURCH (PRESIDENT), KIM ERICKSON (VICE PRESIDENT), KAYLA SCHURCH (TREASURER), KRISTI ADAMS (SECRETARY), TIM ‘BUTCH’ FARLEY, JOHN GANSCHOW, NICK HALVORSON, AMANDA HYRONIMUS, ANDREW JORGENSEN, AJ SCHABLE, CASIE SCHABLE, STEPHEN SIMS.

SECRETARY'S REPORT: Presented by Kristi Adams. BUTCH FARLEY made a motion to approve, seconded by AJ SCHABLE. No further discussion. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Presented by Kayla Schurch. STEPHEN SIMS made a motion to approve, seconded by AMANDA HYRONIMUS . No further discussion. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS
1. Volunteer of the year award. Unavailable tonight but will let Mike know about next month (9/2).
2. BABC flags are in and look great. Will push during sponsorship drive, BSD open houses and sporting events. Kayla has posted online Facebook for purchase.
3. Sports calendars: 500 ordered and are in for distribution.
4. Yard signs: new design, 50 ordered and are in. Need motion for expenditure: $493.83. Motion by ANDREW JORGENSEN and seconded by BUTCH FARLEY. No further discussion, motion passed.
5. Kim update on homecoming skydiver. We have about two weeks to figure out what we are doing and let Owen know. She will update the Board via the Band app ASAP.
6. CC opener August 27 @ 10:00 am. Mike, Casie, Nick, Amanda, possibly Butch will be there to help.
7. Athletic kickoff meeting update. Update from Mike on membership sales.
8. BSD open houses 8/18 from 3-7:00: Mike, Butch and Kim will be there (highschool only) to set up a table to sell memberships.
9. Corporate sponsorship drive to start. Kayla has new packets. Mike will start going to businesses on Friday. Kayla, Butch and John will help if needed. Mike will text Natalie to see if she can help also.
10. Kayla made new activity passes. Make sure we’re handing out the right ones. No names are needed on the pass, just put 2026-27 year and write promo code on card for swag stipend.
11. Homecoming 9/18: Andrew and Nick will drive Andrew’s side-by-side in the parade. Mike will talk to ACE about paint donation for street painting (Sunday before homecoming) and Megan about stencils. Will need leaf blowers and paint mixers. Owen will have the roster lists for us.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Board member perks discussion. Motion by KIM ERICKSON to give each Board member a free Purple membership and an upgrade to Pride will be $100. Seconded by JOHN GANSCHOW. No further discussion, motion passed.
2. Update pictures on BABC website, the ones currently are quite a few years old. Kayla will do this.
3. New board picture to upload to website. We will do this once we have a full board and take an updated picture.
4. XC shirts: cost $10.35. Motion by NICK HALVORSON to sell at $15 each or 2 for $25. Seconded by ANDREW JORGENSEN. No further discussion, motion passed.
5. Andrew brought up something he saw on Facebook that the Board gives each 3 sport athlete (9-12) a t-shirt or other swag. Discussion followed.
6. Discussion regarding the coach request rubric will be done at the October meeting.
7. Dakota Fizz will do the $.50 per cup discount again this year for the cups the BABC sells.
