Meeting Minutes

April 2 ,2025

6 p.m. HS Library

Current Board Members: Kristi Adams, Carrie Buum, Jeff Buum, John Christensen, Kim Erickson, Tim “Butch” Farley, Megan Joseph, Scott Klungseth (absent), Jill Mockler, Adam Nelson, Brendyn Richards, Kayla Schurch, Michael Schurch (absent) and Ashley Sharpe.

Guests: Megan Buum

6-6:05-Secretary Report: Megan Joseph. John made a motion to approve, seconded by Butch. No further discussion. Motion carried.

6:05-6:25-Treasurer Report: John Christensen.  Jill made a motion to approve, seconded by Ashley. No further discussion, Motion carried.

  • Girls bball tournament profit was $2844.44

  • Taken in $54,596 spent $34,720

  • 497.81 in interest earned 

 


Current Balance total: $82,981.53

Checking Balance: $50,888.03

Savings Balance: $32,093.50 (Markl Fund $10,078.98)


Bills Paid:

  • Ashley Sharpe (ice cream) $308.10

6:15-6:45 Coach’s Requests and Discussion

  • Volleyball-$3800 requested amount

  • Wrestling-$3000 requested amount (higher amount due to more kids attending)

  • Cross Country-$2500 requested amount

  • Football and Track no request

  • Cheer just had tryouts-they will get back to us

  • Waiting on GBB, BBB, Softball, Golf

  • School requests from last year were: HoF $1000, Huddle $4000, Neptune $8000

  • Kayla made a motion to approve, Carrie seconded. No further discussion. Motion carried.


6:45-7:05 Atheltic Banquet May 4, 6:00 -Spring activity sub committee

  • Event program-photos-rosters-Show video Same made?

  • Meals-do 2 tables of food, one on each side to help speed up. Scott has ordered Maria’s.

    • Ticket Sales-Reach out to Owen to send out link for sign up (Ashley). Deadline April 27th to sign up for meal.

    • $10 per adult. Athletes and kids are free. 

  • Awards/Scholarships-Adam will have Cooper pick up scholarships

  • Program-need pictures in at least 2 weeks prior to

  • Need to get number of Seniors to get blankets made-Jill will reach out to office

  • Set up-decorations-Meet at 4:00 that day for set up. 

    • Silverware, plates, napkins?

    • Gallon bags for leftovers

    • Cords for plugging in warmers.

    • Get more pictures at the Banquet

7:05-7:15 2025-26 Booster Club Board

  • Potential New members-Ashley, Adam, Brendyn, John, Jill, Scott, Krissy all leaving the Board. 

  • Set appropriate expectations-agreements

  • The school is on board with us putting something up by the Crows nest (plexiglass sign with light behind it, that says Dawgbone Entertainment).
